Les Manoirs de Tourgéville

The restaurant spoiled an otherwise lovely stay. The food was good, but service was slow, and the older man running breakfast was nasty. After waiting five minutes for someone to seat us, we sat down and got breakfast ourselves. We didn't know that side of the room was set up for lunch because nobody had told us. A younger server took away our cutlery without saying anything, then a tall older man shouted across the room that we couldn't sit there and demanded we move. He came over and kept arguing that the other side was easier for him. We've travelled widely and had never been yelled at in a restaurant. It ruined the meal, and hotel staff did nothing when we complained. The hotel, its staff, rooms, pool and grounds were lovely, though. I'd avoid the restaurant and eat out in Deauville, where there are nicer places.

The sunbeds were covered in bird droppings. We also had a terrible noise in the room overnight and couldn't sleep. When we told reception, they just apologized and offered no gesture for the sleepless night. It's a nice hotel, but the service was so-so.

The restaurant service was below what you'd expect from a place that's meant to be high-end, though the food quality was nice. The indoor heated pool was very nice, and the suite was lovely: 60 square meters, with a separate bedroom for the parents.

Just before Christmas, my fiancé and I had a fantastic stay. We had trouble with our car, and the reception staff spoke to the garage and helped arrange the repair. Everyone was incredibly helpful, professional and kind. The food was excellent too. I look forward to coming back. Thank you!
