Le Beffroi

We arrived in Touron d'Agenais really hungry, having missed normal lunch hours because of train travel and the time it took to pick up our rental car. We weren’t sure we’d find anything beyond a snack, so we asked at the tourist office, where they suggested Le Beffroi might still be able to serve us. Even though we turned up when the kitchen would normally be closed, we could choose from almost the whole menu. The shared appetizer and mains were exquisite: a mille feuilles of aubergine and ricotta, two suprême de pintade, and magret de canard. The owner speaks very good English, the service was friendly, and it was good value. The food was so good we’d make the restaurant a destination. We didn’t stay overnight, so we can’t rate the rooms.

We had a relaxed, enjoyable meal at Le Beffroi. The food was delicious, the atmosphere charming, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Fantastic choice, highly recommend 💯

What a letdown. The duck and steak were overcooked, and the meals were expensive. The staff were very attentive, but seemed embarrassed by the cooking. It’s a shame, especially with the restaurant on such a beautiful square.

The square is a beautiful setting, and our waiter was really friendly. The food was delicious, especially the grilled vegetable platter. Service took a little while, but that suited the relaxed feel of the place.
