We chose this hotel for a one night stop on a quick trip, specifically because we’d flown in that day and wanted to eat at the hotel. Their website said the restaurant was open Mondays, and the booking emails from Logis said the same. When we got there around 6pm, though, nobody was at the hotel. A handwritten note on the entrance to the rooms pointed us to our room, with the key left in the door. There was no restaurant or bar, and it didn’t feel like a hotel at all. The note was written on the back of a menu for a celebratory lunch, presumably held earlier that day. It was a bank holiday, but the owners could at least have told us the restaurant would be closed. We might have been able to find food on the way from Toulouse. Instead, we had to fend for ourselves, and everything nearby was shut except for a McDonald's 15 minutes away. That was awful. The room was a letdown after the photos, tired and unloved. One bedside lamp didn’t work, and there was black mould around the bath. It was still very clean and not terrible by traditional Logis standards. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night after a long day and a delayed flight. In the morning we met the proprietor. She was pleasant and offered breakfast, seeming a little surprised when we accepted. Within five minutes she’d brought hot coffee, bread, and pastries. There was also a small buffet with a few cereals and juice in the fridge. I think we were the only guests, so perhaps things are better at other times. Some pastries were barely defrosted, a few mini pancakes were very stale, and crumbs on all the other breakfast tables didn’t help our impression. The jams and honey were decent. A lot of the hotel reviews seem to be for the restaurant, which has its own Google Maps entry, so perhaps the hotel itself deserves a lower rating. The restaurant sounds good, and it might have changed our view if it had been open. As things stood, this was a very poor way to treat customers. We felt duped and could have had a better stay at a cheaper B&B.

We stayed for two nights for a nearby wedding. The place was clean and tidy, and the owner was helpful and spoke English. Breakfasts were just right, though we didn’t eat any other meals there. It sits on a roundabout at a busy junction, so there’s road noise, and the bar shut quite early. Handy for a stopover.

The old village is easy to reach on foot, as long as you don’t mind climbing a lot of stairs. The rooms were comfortable, the staff excellent, and the restaurant food was good too.

A lovely place to get together with friends over a meal. The staff are helpful, and the food is always good.

The French food was very good and traditional, but the surroundings didn’t inspire me.
