Hilton Garden Inn Tours Centre

The biggest problem was parking. There’s none at the hotel, and the public garage beneath the entrance was in appalling shape, easily the dirtiest I’ve had to use lately. The stairwell and lift shaft smelled of urine, and the lift was covered in graffiti. With heavy luggage, guests don’t have a real alternative. The staff were sympathetic, but said the garage is privately run. The hotel should ask the operators to hose it down every day. The rest of the stay was good: helpful, friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, and a convenient spot by the river near the historic centre.

Pierre-Luc at the front desk was phenomenal. He knew the local attractions, historic landmarks, and plenty of places to eat. The hotel’s location makes it easy to reach lots of great sites and restaurants, and the modern rooms were clean and roomy. Parking is in an underground ramp next door. There’s no elevator, and nowhere nearby to pull up and unload your bags. Even so, it’s a very nice hotel, and I’d happily stay again.

There’s nowhere to pull in for check-in or even drop off luggage. The only parking is in the garage across the street, and you have to take the elevator up.

I expected better from Hilton, especially as a member. The breakfast was boring, with very little variety. The croissant was tiny, bigger than it was by a teaspoon only, and tasted like cardboard. The coffee tasted like hot shaving water, with no coffee flavor at all. I’ve added photos. The mattress cover was dirty too. We decided to get breakfast in town instead, where the croissant and coffee were wonderful. I’m sorry, Hilton, but I wanted to leave this review in the hope something gets done.
