The grounds are lovely, and the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool too. Breakfast was just okay. It would be useful to have a better way for English-speaking guests to reach reception, but when we mentioned a small issue, the staff dealt with it brilliantly. The service was excellent, and we'd happily recommend this place.

We had no idea this would end up being the highlight of our trip through the French countryside. Domaine de la Groirie is only a few minutes from Le Mans, with more than 100 acres of beautiful grounds. The rooms have a modern feel with classic styling, and both the service and breakfast were amazing. My wife joked at CDG that if she lost her passport, she'd have to come back and stay at the Chateau. I suspect she was already looking for an excuse. We'd definitely return. Thank you, Domaine de la Groirie!

We loved the pool, gardens, forest, lake, and wildlife in the fields, and the Chateau tour was fascinating. The grounds have a peaceful, almost other-era feel. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the nearest town or restaurants, though, so you'll need a car or taxi. The property is just outside Le Mans, and our stay there became an unexpected highlight of our trip to France. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, and we slept well, but there was a noticeable musty smell and a slight odor from the toilet cistern. The lack of a top sheet felt a little odd, and the air conditioning wasn't very effective. Breakfast was a great start to the day. The rooms mix modern amenities with classic style. The service also stood out: after train delays pushed our arrival late, the hotel associate sent a video guide and came to greet us well past the usual closing time. Her warm welcome, proactive communication, and care made the stay memorable. It's a captivating place with a taste of 18th-century French charm, though the room smells and air conditioning may be an issue for some.

Staying at this beautiful estate felt like stepping into a romantic past, surrounded by idyllic nature that left us feeling recharged. Charline and her team were warm, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it and can't wait to come back soon.

Beautiful, immaculate, and amazing. Five stars across the board, absolutely faultless. A fabulous place to stop, and I can't think of enough good things to say.
