It was lovely and quiet out in the countryside, and that peaceful setting is really the main thing going for it. There was no breakfast and no fridge. The place is covered in lucky charms, though, on the doors, chairs, shelves, and even inside the closet. That was the worst part for me.

There was tea and coffee to make with the kettle, since breakfast isn't provided. The host was welcoming, and the secluded setting made for a calm, restful night. There are decorations everywhere.

The kids got to see one of the castle towers that hasn't been restored yet, which was a real treat. The place itself is pretty, with original interior decor, and the owner was very welcoming. It's quiet and peaceful, but breakfast isn't available, which isn't very practical with children. The owner did help us out that time. I also really missed having a small fridge in the room, and the garden could use some amenities to make it more inviting for a comfortable stay.

Sleeping in a castle was a wonderful experience, with its two 15th-century towers, machicolations, and all the charm of the residence. It's set among greenery but still close to museums, castles, shops, and restaurants. We were given a warm welcome and lots of helpful information. The room was the biggest I've ever seen, and staying in a castle made for a truly unique night. They'd even thought of a baby cot, and the service was friendly and efficient.
