Lac de Sainte-Croix was a highlight. We recommend renting an electric boat and exploring the gorge, which is beautiful and interesting. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is worth a visit too, with its lovely old village built into the mountain and a beautiful drive there. We stayed four nights in May, and Christian and Anne made us feel at home in their peaceful house and garden. Anne served wonderful breakfasts each day, with coffee, hot milk, breads, cheeses, meats, homemade baking and jams. Christian was a very helpful guide to the area. They’re the best B&B hosts we’ve ever had, and we didn’t know them beforehand.

The garden by the pool is a lovely place for children, with a trampoline, ping pong and pétanque. We stayed in the well-equipped, beautifully decorated Aurelia room, and our daughters slept well on the sofa bed. Its private terrace looks out over the garden. Breakfast brought something different each morning, including local and organic products, homemade cakes, fresh fruit and smoothies. Anne kept the room spotless and left thoughtful extras like nougat, coffee and herbal teas. The setting facing Sainte Victoire is peaceful, and Christian and Anne gave us a warm welcome and did everything they could to make the week feel special. They also shared useful tips on villages, restaurants, walks and scenic drives through Provence. We had a wonderful stay and will be back.

Christian knows the area inside out and can point you toward all kinds of hikes. Anne's homemade pastries at breakfast are a treat, and their organic approach runs from the bathroom through to the food. They have a real gift for hospitality and service. Don't miss this little corner of paradise. Chantal and Christine April 19, 2017

I’ve stayed at Errances in both Ventabren and Trets. The owners make you feel at ease, and you can see how much care they put into doing things well. It’s a great place to stay in summer or winter while exploring Provence.
