Franck was really helpful and made sure we knew how to get there and how to reach him. We parked on the quiet street, and there's a grocery store about a 15-minute walk away. It's also a great base for exploring southern Martinique. The apartment is on the ground floor of a family home, with its own entrance through the garden. It's a big one-bedroom place, fully self-contained. The wraparound veranda is huge and airy, with lovely views, a hammock, sofa, table and chairs, and a rack for laundry. The bedroom has air conditioning and plenty of storage. There's a large shower, and the kitchen and living room are spacious, with a sofa bed and TV. WiFi worked well. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and eating for four: two-burner stove, toaster, oven/microwave, kettle, coffee maker, large fridge/freezer, and a washing machine. Franck left some useful basics like oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, plus butter, milk, juice, sugar, jam, rum punch, and a beer to get us started. He also provides beach towels, a chair and umbrella to borrow, as well as an iron and cleaning supplies.

Franck was an amazing host and took care of all sorts of things for us, from drinks and breakfast to printing our plane tickets, booking a taxi, and storing our luggage. The apartment is right in the heart of the Creole village, in Martinique's most touristy area. It's beautiful and very well equipped, with restaurants, cocktails, and shopping just downstairs. The beach is a little further, at least 200 meters on foot. We can't wait to return, perhaps in September.

The terrace feels like another room, with views of the sea and lush plants. We loved watching birds come by in the morning. The apartment is ideally placed in Anse à l'Âne, a great starting point for exploring this beautiful island, and it's very well equipped. Having linens and beach towels supplied meant we packed much lighter. Our hosts, Franck and his wife, were so kind and helpful. They left everything we needed for breakfast the next morning, including a refreshing rum punch to help us recover from the long flight.

Franck's welcome was top notch, and the accommodation has all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. There was even a bottle of Planter's in the fridge! From Pointe du Bout, Fort de France is just 20 minutes by boat shuttle, an ideal way to get there without traffic jams.
