The beach view from our room was the best thing about this small hotel. The kiddie attractions nearby made it a bit noisy during the day, but it was quiet at night. Breakfast was fine for the price, with surprisingly excellent croissants and other pastries. The stay was pleasant enough, though not wonderful, and the hotel was inexpensive for its beachside location. We managed for a few nights, but a friendlier welcome would make the place much more appealing, and that seems easy to improve. Our arrival got off to a poor start: nobody came to the reception desk for a while, then we were handed a key in a rush and given a rapid explanation of the door code and breakfast. The card lock was broken, though the key worked. That didn’t help the first impression. Our “deluxe double” wasn’t large, and “deluxe” felt like a stretch. The grey walls were tasteful, the bathroom was fine, and the bed was comfortable, but the furniture was cheap and a little worn. The WiFi barely connected for a few seconds at a time, so it was practically unusable.

We had a lovely dinner at Les Embruns one evening. The food was tasty, especially the two seafood dishes, and the service was quick, friendly, and polite. It wasn’t a Michelin-style experience that would blow your socks off, but the prices were very reasonable considering the beachfront location.

A warm welcome and quick, professional service made this an excellent discovery. We had lunch here on Aug 18, 2022, despite not knowing the restaurant. The fish soup was delicious, served as a starter in a bread tureen, and the generous mussels and chips with white wine and coffee came to 80€ for two. We’re eager to go back.

I was disappointed by most of the stay and wouldn’t return, though nothing was horrible enough that I’d avoid it if I found a great deal. The WiFi never worked, towels left on the floor weren’t replaced, parking was a disaster, and breakfast was very low-end. One of the three beds was quite uncomfortable.

We’re from Greece, where hospitality is something we’re known for, and we have good standards. The behavior here was awful, the toilets were dirty, there was no air conditioning, and the food wasn’t good or tasty. I’d never go back, and I feel I underestimated myself by going there.
