We booked at the last minute, and the host was really helpful and accommodating. They even drove us to pick up our car so we could park closer to the bijou hotel. The room was beautiful and practical, with an excellent shower. Just be aware there’s no lift and quite a few stairs, so it may not suit you if steps are difficult. Otherwise, I thoroughly recommend it.

The breakfast is fabulous and well worth the 10€, with great croissants and pains au chocolat, crêpes, pancakes, several good jams, fresh bread, and good cheese. If the juice had been freshly squeezed, I would've been blown away. This is a charming, family-run hotel with just 12 rooms and an old-fashioned feel, though the shower is modern. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. At least two of the top-floor rooms have sea views. The owners were very friendly and even arranged a late-night arrival for us, though they don't speak English well, so be prepared for that. A few things made the stay less comfortable. The walls between rooms are so thin you can hear people walking, talking, and watching TV. Earplugs are provided, but I would've preferred more privacy. The seagulls sound authentic, though their cries get less charming when you're trying to sleep with the window open. With the window shut, the air gets stuffy. Our room was tiny, so don't bring a massive suitcase. There’s no elevator, and the staircase is narrow and steep, which could be difficult for older people or anyone who struggles with stairs.
I've traveled all over Europe, stayed in hundreds of hotels, and visited hundreds of cities, and everywhere else I've been welcomed. Then I called la maison de la plage to sort out a "problem with my credit card." The person on the phone was really rude and treated me as if I might have made a "fake reservation." If that's how they "welcome" guests, how will they speak to you when you arrive? P.S. It seems the hotel management has no patience for helping potential clients or accepting criticism appropriately. Instead of apologizing for the rough tone on the phone, they sent indignant letters to people they'd turned away over a "poor review on Google".
We had a lovely time with the owner, who made the stay a really nice experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and close to the beach.
Top notch.
