Ibis Troyes Centre

The location was a plus, close to the centre and an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the historic old town. Reception staff were polite and helpful, check-in was smooth, and they gave us a city map and local tips. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for basic use. Our room felt dated and worn, though, with tired-looking furniture and none of the fresher, more modern feel we've found at other ibis hotels. The bathroom was clean but tiny and seemed due for an upgrade. The shower wasn't great and the water pressure was low. Breakfast was fine, but there wasn't much variety compared with ibis Styles Metz. We could hear people in the corridor and nearby rooms, which made it hard to relax sometimes. It worked for a quick stop, but for a similar price we've had more comfortable stays elsewhere in the ibis chain. We wouldn't rule it out completely, but we'd probably pick somewhere else if we came to Troyes again.

It's easy to walk to all the tourist spots from this central hotel. The area is quiet, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were really friendly, and breakfast was worth the price.

The rooms were nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the city centre, and breakfast was good value. There is parking on site, but it's underground and limited to vehicles under 1.9m.

We usually stay at the Post hotel, but the prices had got so high that we tried this place instead. It was much cheaper, without feeling worse for it, and parking was easier, with plenty of spaces in the car park below. The bed was a delight, and the pillows really were like clouds. The room was nice, though I wish it had two comfortable chairs instead of just one hard plastic chair. The shower and bathroom were fine. Breakfast was another treat: lots of choices, with especially good sausage and scrambled egg. The tea takes a bit of fiddling with the infuser, but it's worth it. A win for us, and recommended.
