Tuchan felt like the perfect bit of rural France, and we were there during the Vendange, when the village was bustling with the harvest. The Spar was well stocked and handy since the restaurants were closed out of season. Don’t miss the boulangerie, their croissants are enormous! The pool was great too. We spent 5 days in the self catering barn. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including an excellent kitchen. Sam was such a friendly, thoughtful host. They even set up a wine tasting and showed us a fantastic nearby gorge where we could swim.

The garden is lush and full of art, with a big pool and shady spots for lounging or eating outside. Our hostess was lovely and thoughtful, and breakfast was generous. The rooms were stylish and clean. It felt like a little oasis, and we’ll definitely be back.

The pool and garden are beautiful. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and they had secure storage for our bikes, big breakfasts, and chilled water for our bidons. Just perfect!
