L'Ermitage Du Rebberg

Excellent hotel.

The clearing and reception room, with its living wall, made a lovely impression on our guests, and we were thrilled with how everything went. The weather was perfect, so we didn’t need the marquees set out for rain. We picked the Hermitage because of its beautiful clearing, which let us have an enchanting ceremony among the trees. Elisabeth was there to help from the first day of planning, Friday. She listened closely to what we needed and shared helpful advice based on her experience at the venue.

A peaceful spot surrounded by nature, and such a warm welcome. The hostess is always attentive and available. Everything you need for a dream stay. It’s a magnificent place well worth the trip.

The reception venue itself is magnificent, though there’s a steep slope up to the hall. The grounds aren’t fully private, either. On the day, the owner made frequent unwelcome appearances in front of our guests, and her courtesy varied. She complained about the noise, even though it was quite minimal and the grounds are vast. There were plenty of other demands we found “ludicrous,” including no smoking outside, only under the marquee, with a security guard reminding people of the rules. The list goes on. Her behavior made it seem like receptions bother her. She should find another line of work!
