We were walking the GR10 and got caught in heavy rain while coming down from the Col des Trois Fontaines. We took shelter on the gîte porch, but the owner treated us badly and told us to leave. We clearly weren’t welcome. There was no empathy or respect for walkers, so we’d never recommend staying here.
The house was nicely furnished, and we had a very pleasant stay. Our hosts were great and happy to help.
We shared some really nice conversations with other travelers, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfasts were generous, carefully prepared, and perfect, with a peaceful view over the surrounding countryside. Our host was so welcoming and friendly. A lovely experience, and we’d happily recommend it. We’ll be glad to come back.
The room was incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated, and those homemade breakfasts were such a treat. The pool and jacuzzi were great too. The location is superb, right by the trails and close to La Rhune, and the hosts gave us helpful tips for walks and outings. Jean-Philippe and his family made us feel so welcome. Next time I’ll rent the gîte with friends, whether as a couple or with family. I can’t keep this little gem to myself.
We came in early April, with lovely sunny weather, and had a wonderful time with this fantastic family, from grandparents to grandchildren. The room, pool, breakfast, and setting were all just perfect. A place to remember. We’ll definitely be back. Laurent and Sylvie, from Auvergne
