The continental breakfast is epic, and the Barb and banana jam is lovely. The gardens are pretty, and the gorgeous rooms make the whole property feel like a page from an interiors magazine. It’s a really relaxed, private little hotel, run by the nicest guys. You’ll need transport to reach it, and there’s nowhere to eat within 20 minutes. Albert is the nearest town.

We’ve stayed at Laclos des champs three times now, and we’ll definitely be back. Philip is helpful while still giving you space, and the care put into all the little details is superb. The breakfast is amazing. For us, it’s easily one of the best places to stay in France.

A lovely base for visiting Albert and the Thiepval Memorial, both about a 20-minute drive away. Such a beautiful place to stay, just perfect.
