The staff were lovely, spoke very good English, and were always ready to help. The hotel itself was very nice, and breakfast had plenty of choice. I’d stay again, but I’d stick to eating breakfast there. Dinner was hit and miss: a couple of meals were okay, while others were really bad. One steak was great on our first night, but when two people ordered it another day, theirs was so tough it was like old boots. Room service was worse. The €15 Chicken Poke bowl was mostly overcooked plain pasta that had turned to mush, with four tiny pieces of dry chicken and two halved cherry tomatoes. I’m not a fussy eater, but I couldn’t eat it and threw it away. The charcuterie et fromages was just a few slices of ham and cheese, the same sort offered with the included breakfast, and seemed to have been sitting out since morning.

The room lighting failed because of a problem with the card activated switch. I called reception and was told someone would come right away, so I sat in the dark. Nobody came for 20 minutes. When I called again, the staff member was rude, said they had already sent someone, and told me not to call again. The sound insulation was also awful. I could hear the people next door talking and singing, and it kept me awake for two nights after long days skiing. I reported it and was told I could switch rooms. I packed all my things and went to the front desk, only for the chief manager to say they wouldn’t give me another room and there was nothing they could do. I’d expected much better handling of these problems from a 4-star hotel. I’ll never stay here again.

The breakfast was disappointing because there weren’t enough staff to clear tables or keep the food stocked for all the guests. They were doing their best to help everyone, but it seemed impossible with so few people on duty. Our family suite was nice, though the very light carpet had obvious stains. The facilities were good, with a nice pool, and our kids especially loved the play area in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay, but there’s definitely room to improve the service.

Laura, you’re a legend. Thanks so much to you and the whole amazing team for looking after our family. What a fantastic hotel. The secret’s out now, and we’ll definitely be back. Best wishes from all of us.

The location is excellent, right by the ski lifts, and the rooms are comfortable, a good size, and good value. Still, some basic details are missing, like bathroom conditioner. We brought our dog and paid the €15 nightly supplement, but weren’t given a bowl, blanket, or bed. Breakfast was poorly managed and underwhelming. Plates and egg cups ran out, food took too long to replenish, and the fruit choices were limited and very average. A small à la carte choice for fresh eggs would have helped. The hotel also seems short staffed. Most of the staff were pleasant and trying hard, though often undertrained. The food was a letdown in other ways too. The goat’s cheese and quinoa salad was one of the worst dishes I’ve had in years. The “poké bowl” was smoked salmon, sliced avocado, and two tomatoes over cold white rice that seemed to have been made much earlier. I was pregnant and unwell during the stay, and the maître d’ gave me unnecessary resistance when I tried to take food back to my room to finish it. His unpleasant attitude upset me and was completely unlike the rest of the staff, who were generally helpful. That alone has put me off returning. It’s a lovely hotel with potential, but the food and breakfast service were poor, and that maître d’’s behaviour was unacceptable. With better staffing and management it could be very good, but I wouldn’t return as things stand.
