Chalets Izia

The location is really good, which makes the staff’s behavior at reception especially disappointing. They were rude and rigid, and when our room door lock wouldn’t close, they ignored the problem. With children, that never feels safe. For a supposed 5 star chalet, the staff need to improve a lot in their temperament and communication. Other chalets are much kinder and more helpful. It’s unfortunate that a hotel in such a good location has reception staff who seem unable to build a good relationship with guests.

We had a spacious, comfortable two bedroom apartment for four adults, with clean, fresh decor and a nice sitting area. The on-site ski shop was handy, and the spa facilities were great. The massages were particularly good. It’s well located for ski in and out, and the shops are a 5 to 10 minute walk away. There’s also a great morning bread and pastry delivery service. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful.

We stayed in the C building, which was the best one for us because it has the ski locker. The apartments are fully equipped, ski in and out access is handy, and the price is very good. The only drawback is the single elevator. In the morning, before skiing, it’s almost impossible to get on. I’ll come back.

The biggest problem was the lifts. Getting from one building to another could mean a long wait. Rooms on the lower floors have no view, just walls. The staff could be friendlier and more accommodating. We were really disappointed, especially after having a good experience at their sister aparthotel Skadia.
