Hotel Bellier

The good breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and quality, served in a dining room with mountain views. There’s also a nice lounge, a convenient ski room, and generally very polite staff. Rooms were comfortable, if small, with pleasant decor and very good beds, pillows and linens. The small bathroom and shower in room 12b were fine. We found the bathroom in room 21, separated from the sleeping area by a curtain, less appealing. The hotel was available when many others were sold out, and the price wasn’t high. It’s well located for alpine skiers. There are a few problems. The boot heating racks in the ski room have been out of service for at least a year, and the hotel interior is poorly lit, presumably to save costs. There doesn’t seem to be forced air ventilation, even in the bathrooms, so we had to open a window or balcony door for fresh air. Depending on the time of day and wind direction, smoke from a neighboring property’s wood fire came into the room. For that reason alone, I can’t recommend the hotel.

Bright, clean rooms, especially the ones facing south, and great staff. The location is fantastic and the value is excellent. I’ll definitely stay again, and again.

Right in the heart of val d'Isère and only 200m from the slopes, it’s a good value place to stay. Our room was warm and cozy, spacious enough, nicely arranged and had a good resort view. The beds were comfortable, and staff were helpful. Parking is included, which is convenient, though the entrances are difficult, especially with ice and snow. Breakfast was okay but could use fresher ingredients.

We’ve stayed here six times and have always found it very pleasant. The owners are so warm and kind. Rooms are clean and nice, and the common areas are beautiful, with a fireplace and a piano in the hall. Both breakfast and dinner are great, and the ski storage is well organized.
