Pavillon de Villefrancou

The guesthouse was a lovely place to spend 10 days, and we’d gladly come back. We appreciated the hosts’ advice, and although the property is shared by three owners and another gîte, each has its own space and we weren’t disturbed at all. The Pavilion has charming period details, is nicely renovated and well equipped, with everything we needed. It’s all on one level, with just a few steps to get outside, which worked well with children. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. The lush green estate is peaceful and rejuvenating. There’s a large shared pool with safety barriers, good for children and swimming laps, plus an outdoor lounge for sunset views. We also had a trampoline, swing set, ping-pong, pétanque, and badminton. Several good restaurants are 5-10 minutes away, including M11, Bourdasso, and Vins de Dagne. In August, nearby villages are lively, especially Montlaur, with markets, shows, and wine tastings. By car, many sights are about 30 minutes away, including Lagrasse, Carcassonne, Villerouge, Termes, Lake Cavayère, Canal du Midi, and vineyards.
