We stayed for a week as a family during the heatwave, and by the end the temperature inside the large cottage, over 30 degrees Celsius, was hard to manage. It isn't air-conditioned, which we'd missed when booking. That was the only real downside for me. The building is beautiful and its location makes a handy base for exploring nearby, while keeping away from the crowds. The setting is peaceful and fantastic, and the pool, though not brand new, is still very pleasant. The cottage furniture is quite old but suits the building's style. The bedding was average, though fine for a short stay. The owner is lovely, attentive, and readily available.

The owner is very friendly, and I'd definitely recommend this cottage for a big family. Set back from the road, it's a beautiful, relaxing place, with spacious and charming rooms.
