The bus stop is right beside the hotel, and the location itself is very good, though Nice ville is a long way off. The pool looks nice, but without heated water it was a real challenge to use. Staff were genuinely welcoming, and the rooms were clean, if very cramped. Breakfast choices were sparse. I also noticed there was no Halal option, despite seeing quite a few Muslim guests during the four days I was there.

The setting around this Sophia Antipolis hotel is lovely, and the staff were friendly and professional the whole time. But the rooms and facilities feel badly in need of an update. My phone cable wasn't connected, the furniture and equipment were dated, and the key cards kept losing their encoding, so I had to get them reset at reception again and again. Humidity was high enough that the towels wouldn't dry. Dinner was underwhelming, and there weren't any vegan dishes on the menu. The staff and location are strong points, but the neglected interiors and other problems took away from the stay.

For ETSI conferences, the location works well. Rooms are smaller than at other nearby hotels, but the price is lower too.

The restaurant and its service made for a really pleasant visit. My room's bathroom, though, hadn't been cleaned properly after the previous guest, and that took a lot away from the stay. I wasn't keen on the view from the window either, but for a business trip it was acceptable.

This location only really works if you need to be in Sophia Antipolis. It's a very basic hotel, so I'd look at the nearby alternatives.
