The staff were lovely and the hotel is charming, clean, and well kept. The rooms are a good size, with beautiful bathrooms that look recently renovated. But I barely slept. The pigeons outside the balcony cooed loudly all night, even with the windows shut. The bed was another problem. Rolling over felt like crossing the mattress, and when I sat up to read, the backrest acted like a lever and sent me toward the opposite wall. Add thin doors and a noisy staircase, and getting proper rest felt like a competitive sport. The hotel can't control inconsiderate guests, but all of this together made sleep a real challenge. Maybe other rooms have fewer pigeon troubles and a bed that stays put. It's a beautiful place to visit if you're not counting on getting any rest.

I was in Valbonne for a friend's wedding and stayed two nights. The hotel is right in the center, which was handy for a short visit, and the spacious rooms have modern bathrooms. The staff were lovely and always ready to help. I'd recommend it.

We stayed five nights this summer and would happily return. The building and room were beautiful, the location was great, and the price for our dates was really good. Breakfast outside in the morning was wonderful, with croissants, fresh bread, and homemade marmalades. The people working there were kind and helpful.

The location is great, and the rooms were more or less what I'd expect for this price. But arriving was frustrating: nobody was at reception, so I waited 15 minutes, and the elevator wasn't working. Carrying my bag upstairs was manageable for me, as I'm a big guy, but it would've been uncomfortable for my pregnant wife. Later, I came back to find the gate locked and no way to enter without a code. They didn't answer when I called, so I waited outside for 15-20 minutes until another guest let me in. I was roaming and needed Wi-Fi, but the password in the room didn't work.

This is a nice hotel in a medieval townhouse on the village square in central Valbonne. The rooms have been renovated and were clean, and the staff and hotel are very nice. There are only a few parking spaces nearby; a large free car park is five minutes away, but the walk back is uphill. Despite the old building and what you'd expect to be thick walls, we could hear the neighbours snoring. Breakfast was the main reason I couldn't give it five stars. You get a voucher and eat across the square at a restaurant. We'd read it was a small breakfast, so that wasn't the issue. The waitress only asked whether we wanted tea or coffee and didn't explain what was included or ask whether we'd like anything extra, which we were happy to pay for. We each got one croissant, a piece of baguette, butter, jam, and orange juice. They didn't even ask which jam we wanted. Maybe she didn't speak English well, but we could have managed a few words in French, and she could have shown us the options.
