That enormous breakfast was something else, and we had such a lovely time meeting some wonderful people. The hosts were kind and generous, and the whole stay felt exceptional. A huge thank you for everything.

Even the garden pool couldn't lift our mood. The beautiful old house had been renovated horribly, and the room was dreadful for the exorbitant €94 price. Booking the room meant taking breakfast too, so we skipped both breakfast and the rest of the meal, though they might have been great. Outside, there was a large parking lot and a busy intersection right by the door, so keeping the window open was out of the question. We usually get a decent hotel in a desirable location for €94, not at a busy intersection in Valdahon. Unfortunately, we had no other choice. Not recommended.

The bedding was very comfortable, and the homemade cooking was excellent. Our hosts gave us a great welcome. A big thank you to Armance, who charmed us.

The meals were generous, and the hostess, Armande, was both very welcoming and an excellent cook. It was a calm, relaxing place, with a warm welcome and attentive staff. I highly recommend it.
