The walk to Valençay Castle and the restaurants only takes a few minutes, which made the location really handy. I spent two lovely days in one of Monique's charming rooms and thought it was very good value. Breakfast was generous, with plenty of variety and local products, and I enjoyed it in a quiet moment or chatting with others. My host was warm and welcoming, and I liked hearing about the village from her. I'd happily come back, Chloé.

We only wish we could have stayed longer. The gîte is about a 15-minute walk from Valençay Castle, and we hope to return for more time to explore the area. Our room and bathroom were spacious and spotless, and our host was thoughtful and helpful with great suggestions. Breakfast was superb. Thanks again for looking after us, Monique.

Breakfast was a real treat: fresh bread, brioche and pastries baked that day, homemade jams, fruit salad, a lovely almond cake (I even left with the recipe!) and delicious cheeses. The house is beautifully and elegantly decorated, and Mrs. Rety welcomed us so warmly. She's lively, full of energy and culture, and had great ideas for places to see. Our bedroom and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and furnished with real taste. The whole property is cared for meticulously, including the small park, which is well worth seeing. Everything was just right, and we highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was a highlight, with homemade cakes and jams, a cheese platter and fruit salad. The owner was lovely and attentive, and the place felt welcoming, modern and very well cared for. We had a great weekend here. Go without hesitation! 🤩
