Les charmes

We were warmly welcomed, and the guesthouse is exceptionally clean throughout. The decor is refined, with a spacious room and a little sitting room that was especially nice for relaxing in winter. The shower room had everything we needed. Breakfast was worthy of a four-star luxury hotel. We highly recommend this place.

Breakfast is exceptional, with lovely cups, croissants and homemade jams, and every little detail is taken care of. Yvette, the owner, keeps everything immaculate, from the charming house to the beautiful garden. She's incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, the decor is beautiful, and the cleanliness is impeccable. It's a peaceful place where you really feel at home. Highly recommend this B&B.

She rents out guest rooms partly to have some company over breakfast in the mornings. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the room, living areas, house and garden are all magnificent. She has a great eye for detail, with a lovely mix of old-world charm and Greek influences. The place is close to the castles and Beauval Zoo, and the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend it.

We booked a night at Gîte des Charmes in Valençay to visit Valençay Castle and enjoy a gourmet meal. The welcome was warm, the room felt romantic, and breakfast was just how we like it, with large croissants and homemade jams. We highly recommend this place.
