Hotel Club du Soleil Valfrejus

The location is the real strength here, close to both the ski lifts and town centre. Food was plentiful and varied, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The bartender deserves a mention too: very professional, kind, and quite charming. The hotel itself is basic, but has what you need.

This hotel was a rip-off. We paid a fortune for all-inclusive, but the food was terrible and barely edible. The free bar was a joke, with only cheap drinks and no service. We waited ages just to get water, let alone a cocktail. Then we found a rat running around our room and nibbling at our things. It was disgusting and frightening, especially with our baby asleep in a cri. We tried to reach the staff, but no one came to help. We stayed awake all night, terrified it might attack us. The next day we checked out immediately and asked for a refund. The woman at reception apologized and said they would compensate us if we kept quiet about it. That was a lie. We never got any money or even heard from them. They ignored our calls and emails and acted like nothing had happened. This hotel is a nightmare. Don't waste your time or money here, you'll regret it!

Our first visit here was great. We got a nice welcome from a lovely host who can sing well, and the food was varied and good. The regular bartender was super friendly, and our room and the hotel were clean. It made for a wonderful stay, and we'll definitely come back!

My partner and I stayed for a few days to learn skiing. Most things seemed fine, but the food was a real problem. The guests and I were confused and shocked because we often couldn't tell what ingredients were in the dishes. I eat vegan, and once I thought I'd taken salad but found small pieces of meat in it. I asked the manager to put up signs with the dish names and whether they were vegan. He refused rudely, without even trying to be diplomatic. He was mean, and I don't think I want to stay there again.
