Maison Salix

We took our 3-year-old daughter, and the team had thought of the little things for her, including kids shampoo and a kids menu. They were so child friendly, and she had a great time too. The hosts and their team made us feel very welcome. The rooms are impressive and luxurious, and the food was crazy good, healthy, and clearly cooked with real skill. We loved the surroundings, and the local wine list was really interesting, especially to enjoy by the lovely pool. It was one of our best holidays ever. If you’re considering Maison Salix for your next holiday, go for it and add a few extra days. They’ve created something wonderful in this small city, and we can’t wait to come back.

Hugues and Kurt made us feel at home, and their warmth is what stood out most. The grounds were gorgeous and well kept, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our room was immaculate, and they had a comfortable cot and a nappy changing mat ready for our baby. Three weeks later, my husband and I are still talking about this stay. We can’t wait to return, and I think we’ll remember it for years.

We booked The Pool Lodge for seven amazing nights at Maison Salix. It had its own garden and swimming pool, plus a small kitchen we used for lunch and coffee. The guest rooms were incredible, and the whole beautifully restored Provençal building is stunning, with its traditional architecture, modern touches, and art. The stylish interiors and landscaped gardens are finished to a very high standard. What made the stay feel different was the service from Hughes and Kurt. They treated us like house guests from the moment we arrived, helped with local restaurant and attraction suggestions, and prepared and served a delicious breakfast each day. They also make a delicious three-course dinner every other night, and we ate it four times. We’ve stayed in some lovely hotels in recent years and often wondered how the experience could be better. Maison Salix has set a new benchmark for us. It felt like a five-star stay, and we’d have no hesitation about coming back.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and stylish, with a peaceful feel that made it easy to unwind. Our host was so welcoming and hospitable that we felt at home straight away.
