I’ve stayed at lots of campsites, and this is one of my favourites. The location is handy for the town and trails, and the facilities were clean. The reception people were super friendly, and the fresh baguette and pastries in the morning were delicious. I’ll definitely come back!

We had an amazing week, and Sylvie deserves a big thank you. She and her husband are kind, helpful, hard workers. They didn’t speak English, but we understood each other perfectly. The view from our tent was phenomenal, and the campsite is just how we like it, nothing fancy. There’s a nice pool, clean sanitary facilities, hot showers, and enough trees for shade or shelter from rain. It’s also a great base for hiking, canoeing, canyoning, visiting small cute French towns and shopping. I’d almost keep it to myself so there’s space for us next year 😆😆

The campsite has a peaceful feel that made it easy to relax. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who went out of their way to help with an unexpected personal issue. Their genuine hospitality made us feel very comfortable and valued. We wholeheartedly recommend camping le vieux vallon.

My kids enjoyed the pool, and you can reach the village on a path straight from the campsite, so I’ve given two stars. Otherwise, this was a terrible stay. This is specifically about pitch 16 (or 19?), which I got when booking online, not the whole campsite. The dishwashing sinks were less than 3 meters away and the toilets about six meters away. Until midnight, people washing dishes made it impossible to sleep, then toilet users and the terrible smells kept it that way. I think this pitch and probably the ones next to it should never have been offered, especially at that price. I complained, but they offered no solution, refund or reduction. It was the worst night I’ve ever had at a campsite, a title that’s hard to earn. I’m utterly disappointed.

We stayed in a cabin at this quiet campsite, an easy walk from the village. It was a little warm without a fan, though not too hot. There are lots of walking routes and it’s easy to get places, with Pont D'Arc about a 30 min walk or 5min drive away. The pool was pretty cold, but in the heat it was a very welcome escape, and nobody minded.
