The quiet countryside setting was exactly what we wanted, and the nearby villages and towns with restaurants are only a short drive away. You do need a car, but that felt like a small trade-off for such peace. We stayed four nights in April, when the weather was showery, so we didn’t get to make the most of the two private terraces and barbecue, though they’d be lovely in summer. The gite was spotless, spacious, bright, and so well equipped, with quality fixtures that made it very comfortable. Bobby was wonderfully helpful with the arrangements and even lit a fire before we arrived on a cool day. We’d love to return and would happily recommend it.

We’ve just come back from our third visit to Chez Marot, and would gladly return again. The owner is warm and helpful, making you feel at home straight away. The gite is neat and clean, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and it’s a great base for exploring this beautiful part of France.

The location is wonderfully peaceful, yet handy for picking up groceries and fresh bread, and a good starting point for sightseeing or eating out. Bobby, the host, was attentive without ever hovering, and was happy to share suggestions and directions to help us enjoy our holiday. My wife and I spent a lovely, restful week at Gite Chez Marot. The gite had all the comforts of home and was immaculate. We also appreciated the welcome surprise from the owner, a basic pack of wine of food. We’ll be back. Thanks, Bobby. Allan & Jennifer

The gite had a cosy, homely feel, and the area was so quiet and relaxing. Bobby was a great host and very helpful. Getting out for the day meant a pleasant drive through beautiful scenery. We loved our stay and will definitely come back 😀

Loved this place! I spent two weeks here last August, and it had everything. We could eat at restaurants or cook dinner with food from the local Market. The scenery is beautiful and it’s so peaceful. There’s plenty to do, from Go Carting, Canoeing, Shopping and Site seeing to a simple Barbecue. Great Host and awesome owner. 10/10!
