Chateau de Vauchelles

The property looked incredible in person and in the photos, and the flowers were unbelievably beautiful that first weekend in July. We held our wedding at Ghislain and Valerie’s lovely home in July, and the on-site facilities let us put up dozens of family and friends overnight. It worked perfectly for our English and French guests. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in the north of France, we’d encourage you to consider Chateau Vauchelles.

The next day we enjoyed the huge garden, playing volleyball and ping pong, then went to the pool and had a barbecue. After a really good night, our room was clean and nicely decorated, with excellent amenities. The bathroom was comfortable and clean too. The wedding itself was managed incredibly well, and the staff were so kind and always there when we needed them. The castle and its team made the whole celebration a complete success. We had so much fun!

Valerie and Ghislain made sure we had everything we needed, and my friends’ wedding day was unforgettable. I was so happy to celebrate it at this wonderful castle. You can feel the owners’ care in the thoughtful details throughout the place and in the experience they create for visitors. The décor mixes antique pieces with modern touches. We had the comfort of a modern Airbnb, including excellent showers, cozy beds, and all the essentials, alongside the castle’s timeless character.

We spent one night here and also had a wedding, so we got to enjoy both. The hosts are amazing, and they share the story of this legendary place. It’s out in the middle of nowhere, but we had a great afternoon by the pool and slept in lovely rooms that keep the castle’s original character. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a night or having a wedding.
