The caves were a highlight for us, and we had a lovely aperitif there. We also appreciated that the electricity comes from a discreet photovoltaic system. The hosts know the region inside out and gave us plenty of ideas for places to see. It’s a great area for cycling, and they were happy to handle special requests at short notice. Vincent speaks German very well. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated. The traditional-looking houses sit in peaceful, beautifully kept grounds, with a large garden, a pleasantly warm pool, and loungers. Thanks again to Vincent and Céline for such a warm welcome. We’d gladly come back.

Céline and Vincent were so friendly, and their tips for places to visit were helpful. The breakfast was excellent too. The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and clean, all in a place restored in the Anjou tradition, among the Tuffeau stone, troglodyte caves, and vineyards. It has everything you need for a good night’s sleep and an easy start to a day of exploring. Don’t hesitate!

The quiet here was wonderful, and the caves underneath the property were impressive. The Savane room felt fit for royalty, in keeping with the castles around here. Céline and Vincent were thoughtful hosts, with great suggestions for exploring the region and finding good restaurants. Breakfast was generous, with homemade things. Breakfast was a letdown. We had to give a time, but the coffee wasn’t ready, the orange juice was called “a little bit left,” and the other juices weren’t ready either. There wasn’t much variety for a stay of several days, and no savory food or dairy products. By the pool there were only deck chairs, and not enough sun loungers. The welcome had already been surprisingly unpleasant, so the stay got off to a bad start. I was also disappointed by a €10 per night charge for a pillow, fitted sheet, and duvet cover, supposedly for laundry, even though the bedding smelled musty. We’d booked the family room, which had the most beds and cost more, though it had originally been reserved for two. Apparently a booking for two meant sharing one bed. Since we used both the double and single beds, I was charged as if there were three of us. At least I avoided being charged tourist tax twice for one person, thankfully. In my opinion, it wasn’t very honest, and I won’t be back.

The pool was especially nice after a day out visiting places. We had a peaceful, wonderful stay as a couple with our child. The hosts were charming and attentive, the setting beautiful and full of history, and the accommodation clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and homemade. Thank you ☺️
