I’ve eaten here four times, and every visit has been a good one. The food is original, thoughtfully presented, and the service is friendly. For me, it’s the best option in Royan for a more upscale meal, and the quality makes the prices fair. The experience starts with a beautifully set table, an aperitif, and a generous choice of bread with special butters and salt. After dinner, you can settle into the lounge for coffee from around the world, pastries, and, if you fancy one, unusual digestifs. There’s also a carefully chosen range of spirits, including cognacs, rhums, and whiskeys from different countries, plus excellent champagne cocktails with distinctive combinations. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The fish was delicious, and the flavors on the plate were as varied as its colors. I also loved the homemade bread and selection of butters. It’s a really well thought-out meal, with wonderful food and very attentive service.

This has become our favorite restaurant in the region. The menu pairs flavors in unexpected ways, and the atmosphere is welcoming, with expert waiters keeping everything in hand. We started with seared tuna and spiced mango purée as an amuse-bouche. I chose Foie gras poêlé à la rhubarbe & fraise, consommé de canard, while my husband had Déclinaison autour du crabe Bisque, Frit & Remoulade (Tourteaux, crabe mou, crabe vert). Both were excellent. He followed that with lamb Wellington, and I had excellent plaice with polenta and vegetables. Then came dessert, coffee, and homemade chocolates. I won’t describe every detail and spoil it for you. You get the idea, it’s very good. Just go.

The room is intimate and warm, with lovely decor, and the welcome was exceptionally kind. Service was impeccable throughout. The cooking is on another level: surprising, full of flavor, and taking us somewhere new. Every dish felt like its own discovery and an emotional experience. A complete, refined meal that stayed with us. It even made us wonder where the Michelin star is.

We booked two weeks ahead, which turned out to be a good idea. The owner later told us the restaurant is full every Friday and Saturday night. This little gem in Annecy on the Royan coast is clearly popular. The entrance sets the mood, with a large bar and an anteroom furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs. We chose our menu there over excellent cocktails and small appetizers. The dining room is just as richly decorated, and the tables are far enough apart that we weren’t eating on our neighbors’ laps. We chose the four-course menu, and loved it from start to finish. The chef works alone in the kitchen with two apprentices, and we still wonder how he manages it all. It’s a deliberate choice that means the restaurant limits the number of covers. We finished with coffee and petits fours back on the sofas. We’ll remember our first visit for a long time, and we’ll definitely be back.
