Le Mas Rescator

They only speak French, but it's a very nice place with lovely hospitality.

Our stay at Le Mas Rescator was a terrible experience, far from the quiet, relaxing break we expected. We felt deceived, and think the listing should be updated so future guests have fair information. We weren't allowed to use the pool, which was one of the main reasons we booked. That restriction wasn't mentioned when we made the reservation, and we were very disappointed and surprised by it. The owner's two dogs were constantly around, barking and coming up to us, which made us uncomfortable and anxious. We couldn't relax in the garden or shared areas without being disturbed. For a place presented as somewhere to unwind, this management was unacceptable. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and that hospitality and transparency improve.

The owner was so warm, friendly, kind and attentive. The room was clean and really comfortable, and the cute little dogs were a funny, pleasant surprise. We had a very enjoyable two-night stay. Thank you!

The air conditioning and pool were positives, but I wouldn't recommend this person, the dogs or the house. My motorcycle wasn't allowed inside the property's large courtyard, and the welcome was cool despite the heatwave. It soon felt like the lady of the house cared most about her dogs, which barked nonstop from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Resting during those hours was out of the question. The room was cramped, with the bathroom and toilet in a "closet" that was barely clean. There were no shutters, so the outdoor streetlight kept the room lit all night.
