Villa Vivendi (VEN100)

The property sits in a residential area with little around it, so it feels pretty remote. We also ended up sharing the pool with around five families, each with two kids, during our holiday week, which was unfortunate. The house and grounds are lovely, tidy, and clearly well cared for.

We had a spacious room for four, though it felt a bit dated. The shower water only warmed up very late in the evening, or sometimes not at all. There was no air conditioning, and some rooms didn’t have a fan. At the pool, the rubber seal on the waterfall was broken, and the electrical outlet seemed too close to the water to me. The owners were generally nice, though not especially welcoming, and the price didn’t quite match what we got. Still, it’s a nice holiday base: we went with the children, spent some days by the pool, and took trips to Nice and Vence. Cannes and Monaco are also nearby.

A quiet, lovely place for a short family break, around 30-40 minutes from Nice city center. The staff made us feel welcome. I also appreciated the baguette and croissant service for breakfast.

Villa Vivendi came to the rescue and saved our holiday. We’d booked on the Ligurian coast, but had to leave that apartment because the conditions were unacceptable. Having stayed at Villa Vivendi several times before, we contacted them spontaneously, and they found us an apartment at short notice, just 60 km away. The grounds and pool are very well looked after, with a charming southern French feel. Our apartment was very clean and nicely furnished. They can also bring bread to reception in the morning if you ask. The on-site service was friendly and efficient, and we’d gladly come back.
