B&B HOTEL Strasbourg Nord Artisans

We were very happy with our stay. The location is quiet and really convenient, and there’s free, secure parking. Driss gave us good service, and breakfast was very nice. The room was clean; the only thing missing was a bidet in the toilet.

The room was in terrible shape. It smelled throughout, the bathroom had a strong odor that seemed to come from the toilet, there was mold in the AC unit, and the gray pillowcases looked dirty. Nothing felt clean or cared for. We had booked several rooms, including one meant for three people. That room was no bigger than the doubles, and all three of us were expected to share one bed. When we asked about a larger room or another way to accommodate the third person, the staff were rude and said nothing was available. We then asked for a mattress and were given a tiny baby bed that barely fit in the room. Between the way we were treated and the dirty room, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve had. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are small but clean, and the beds are super comfortable, so they worked fine for a couple of nights. There’s lots of parking, and the hotel is easy to find. It’s also handy for getting into the city by train, with a big hypermarché about a 5min drive away. Breakfast was adequate for the price.

We ended up leaving earlier than planned, exhausted after barely sleeping, and still had to make the 500 km trip home. We’d arrived around 11 p.m., with lots of people blocking the entrance, and once we were in our room there was noise in the hallways until 2 a.m. I intervened four times, but it didn’t help. Children were treating the corridors like a play area with no adults seeming to supervise them. Then the disturbance started again at 6:30 a.m., with people knocking on doors and adults talking loudly in the halls. A very short night, especially disappointing on a public holiday.
