Au Coeur de Vendôme

We only stayed one night on our way home, but I'd come back for a couple of nights if I'm in the area again. The campsite was lovely and peaceful, close to the beautiful town centre, with an excellent new aquatic centre just outside. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Merci.

A beautiful church and Vendôme's lovely centre are just a two-minute walk away. It's a really nice site right beside the river, with good amenities and pleasant staff. I've stayed here before and wouldn't hesitate to come again.

We spent four nights here and had a lovely time. The pitches by the river are spacious, and there's a snack bar on the camping field. You can order bread and croissants for the morning. There are plenty of toilets and showers, with hot water. A short walk takes you into the beautiful old town, with its shops, restaurants, bars, castle, and magnificent church. We'll be back.

Coming back after seven years felt so good. My family, including my parents, siblings, cousins, and granny, has spent 3-5 weeks here every summer for 33 years, except during covid. It's a brilliant place for all ages, and this is still my favourite campsite from when I was a kid. The staff are lovely, kind, and work incredibly hard. The toilets, showers, and cleaning facilities are always clean, with great shower pressure and temperature. The site is tidy, well laid out, and feels safe for children to play and run around. It's close to town and within walking distance of lots of beautiful sights. The evening food at the site is authentic, really tasty, and good value. Today is our last day this summer, but I'm already looking forward to next year, please god.
