B&B HOTEL Lyon Vénissieux

Why is the garage keypad on the right-hand wall? The driver has to get out to enter the code, then get back in to drive into the garage. Was it designed specifically for UK tourists? Sorry, but it makes no sense. I really think B&B should change this.

The hotel was disgusting. There was dust and dirt everywhere, including the toilet, which was so filthy and stained with urine that I had to clean it myself. The sink wouldn't drain, so dirty water rose almost to the edge while I brushed my teeth. Water pressure from the shower tap was very weak, too. Men's hair was scattered around the room. The towels smelled so bad that I had to sleep with the window open despite the chilly evening. They also had what looked like goat droppings on them and lumps of dirt. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We booked online and arrived at night, but there was nobody at reception. We were told to pay at the machine by the entrance to get our room code, but it wouldn't work, even after we tried six different credit cards. Hotel support told us to find another hotel and made no effort to help, even though the problem was theirs and it was late at night. The staff were very unprofessional. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Not recommended. For a similar budget, I'd choose somewhere more professional, like Ibis hotels. Trash hotel!

The room and bathroom were small, and not all the employees could speak English. It was clean and quiet, except in the mornings, when police and ambulance cars passed frequently during my stay. The vending machines in the lobby were useful, and the air heater worked well. Prices were not good at all while I was there. I'd only recommend staying if the price is very low.
