Getting into town was manageable thanks to public transport, even though the hotel is a bit far from the city centre. Service was quick, and staff were always available. Our room got quite hot because the AC didn't work, but at least the windows opened. The kitchen let us down. There was only a microwave and kettle, and the fridge was broken and unusable. We'd bought food to make dinner one night, so that was a problem. Still, I'd stay again for a short visit.

The young woman with dark hair at reception sat on her phone and served beers to her boyfriend right in front of me, after telling me the bar was closed. Lovely customer service from a kid.

I don't need three fresh towels every day, and there was no sign I could hang on the door to tell the cleaners to leave me alone. It didn't feel eco-friendly at all. The rooms were okay, but the food was terrible. The chef was in the kitchen with an unlit cigarette in his mouth. A whole table of international guests was served rare burger patties without being asked how they wanted them cooked. Most people sent their food back or didn't eat it.

The rooms are minimal but clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast has a nice selection. Staff were always friendly. Transport links into town are convenient, with the tram and metro nearby, and the airport is only 20 minutes away by taxi. It's a great-value hotel. The reason I'm taking off a star is housekeeping. We stayed two nights and the room wasn't cleaned once, which we didn't expect. We also ran out of shower gel on the first night. After we told staff in the morning, nothing was done. We asked a second time and got a packet of gel, with the expectation that we'd refill the bathroom container ourselves. That meant cutting the packet open with scissors, which we didn't have. If they sort out these basic housekeeping problems, it'd probably be 5/5.
