My husband was in the area on a long business trip and went to ask the owners about renting one of their cottages. What they told him left him speechless. They said they wouldn't rent to manual laborers because they were dirty, and that they preferred managers. Such a shame that the owners are so selective and full of preconceived ideas.

The breakfast was a mess: butter six months past its date, just one bottle of juice and one of milk for three people over three days, and bread and pastries from the day before that were already stale. The woman said she wouldn't get up at 7:30 to prepare it, so we'd have to do it ourselves. We made our own meal, and had to insist that she reset the oven's circuit breaker before we could use it. She also wouldn't lend us the barbecue because she was afraid she'd have to clean it. There was no real welcome either. We waited and knocked in several places before finally finding someone, about 20 minutes later. The accommodation was outdated and poorly maintained, with dried spiders in the fridge, moldy plates, dead insects on the floor, and a very unpleasant musty smell throughout. Photos available. She also told us that workers weren't welcome because they were dirty, and that she preferred renting to executives or people with more money. For a place with a "3 ears of corn" rating from Gîtes de France, the welcome, service, and upkeep were mediocre. Avoid this establishment.

The room was comfortable, and breakfast was good. A very satisfying stay.

They really make an effort to welcome you and do the best they can. Very kind and pleasant people.
