The receptionist was really friendly, and the room was clean, with air conditioning that could be switched off and a window that opened. The beds were comfortable too. It was quiet for sleeping, with nice views, although the Ibis is out on the edge of Verdun. There’s a lovely nearby sandwich place on foot with fresh food and bread, and McDonald’s is walkable too. Parking isn’t gated, but the area seemed safe. Some restaurants only open in the evening, around 6:30 or 7. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special for 9 euros.

Our group of 50 found bed bugs in three rooms, and several of us reported it to the hotel right away. We left without staying and asked for our money back, but the hotel wouldn't acknowledge the problem or issue a refund. We have photos documenting the infestation. When I raised it with the hotel’s higher headquarters, management claimed they hadn't known, despite the three reports made directly during our visit. I found that refusal to take responsibility for a serious health and safety concern dishonest and unacceptable. The hotel seems uninterested in fixing the issue. If cleanliness, transparency, and integrity in customer service matter to you, stay away.

I found bedbugs in my room just after checking in, and my friend on another floor spotted two in plain sight in her room too. I took photos, left immediately, then returned the next morning to ask for a refund. The hotel representative said the presence of animals wasn't their fault and refused. I wouldn't stay at this dirty, low-quality hotel, unless you want bugs in your home or crawling over your skin while you try to sleep.

Check-in wasn't great, and there were a few stains on the blankets. The beds were okay, but the walls were so thin we could hear everything. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower.
