Les Jardins du Mess

Great value and a great hotel. The view alone makes it worth staying here.

We've come back to this hotel, and the staff were bright, respectful, and outstanding. The service and breakfast were exceptional. The restaurant wasn't open, but the staff recommended a local place that made our stopover a treat. Many thanks. The first time was an unexpected find after a motorized mishap at 10 pm. It was warm, clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with a plentiful breakfast just as expected. It'll be our regular stop when travelling between Holland and home.

Sitting in the empty lobby, wet from the rain, while our room is ready but we can't check in for another 25 minutes without paying an extra 25 euros. I've travelled a lot and never had that happen. If the room is ready, it's ready. The hotel looks super nice, and I'm paying plenty for it, so this is disappointing.

We liked it enough to book another stay for the trip back to London. We stopped on our way to Austria and what a find. They were very welcoming to our dog, and the location is great, right by the town centre and river. The room was comfortable and well designed, with a great shower, an enormous double bed, and a small balcony overlooking the river. The restaurant only opens for breakfast, which was perfectly good, but there are lots of places to eat within an easy walk.
