We were charged €70 for a shabby place that felt nothing like a proper hotel. The decor was old and unwelcoming, the room run-down, and the mattress had big yellowish stains. We’d asked for an extra bed for our 3-year-old daughter, but there was only one 140cm double mattress and two pillows for the three of us. The bathroom was in the room, with mold around the tiny tub and elsewhere. There was a hole underneath the tub, and the window was broken, patched over with a piece of wood. We stayed in February and were freezing because that patch did nothing to keep the cold out. The little fridge was filthy, with mold at the bottom. The microwave and small TV were okay. We arrived around 8:00/8:30 PM and had to phone someone to get into our room. Without a phone, you can’t get into the hotel. At least the man who answered was very friendly. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but never anywhere like this. I strongly advise against staying here.

The owner was so kind about fitting us in at the last minute. Our room was very clean and came with a balcony, fridge, and microwave. Free parking too, and great value for the money. I highly recommend it.

He’s a really friendly manager and seems to find a fix for everything. At least he found one for me, and I’m grateful.

I wasn’t expecting much beyond a room, and that’s mostly what it is. The big problem is the curtains let in the light, and there are no shutters. There’s no room service either. Since my colleague takes over my room, I have to change the sheets myself. A guy also came in during the middle of the day while I was asleep after working nights, and got me out of bed to, as he put it, measure the windows. That could easily have waited until I’d left. I’d avoid staying here on a business trip.

My room had a fridge and a microwave, and the new shower was spotless. The welcome was warm, both when I booked by phone and when I arrived, and the owner was very friendly. I had a pleasant two-night stay at the Bellevue Hotel, somewhere quiet. They’re actually guest rooms. The place is a little dated, but it was clean and well kept, unlike what earlier reviews said. Just a note, there was a change of ownership in the summer of 2021, so don’t be misled by old reviews!
