Getting around the Tours area by car makes the most sense, since the towns and castles are quite far apart. The station isn't far away, though, and our room was really spacious with a super clean bathroom. The owners were a lovely couple and gave us great recommendations for castles and restaurants.

The place and the surrounding area are lovely, and everything was very clean. We slept especially well, the bedding was excellent. Isabelle and Philippe made us feel welcome and were so friendly, with great suggestions for castles, boat trips on the Cher River, restaurants, and other places to see. A stay worth remembering, and somewhere we’d be happy to come back to now and then. Jocelyne, Michel, Huguette, and Jean-Marie

Private parking made things convenient, and the location worked well for exploring the whole Loire Valley. The room was clean and breakfast was good. The owners were cultured, polite, and helpful, always ready with information or advice. Extraordinary, highly recommended.

Le Clos du Vieux Port is well placed for visiting the main royal châteaux along the Cher or Loire rivers. We found the room comfortable, pleasant, and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Isabelle and Philippe welcomed us warmly and shared advice that really helped with our exploring around the region and the Loire Valley châteaux. We highly recommend staying here, whether for a night or two or for a whole week. Marine and Clément

Philippe and Isabelle made us feel so welcome and helped us discover the region. We spent a very pleasant week at Clos du Vieux Port, and we're delighted with the stay. The room with its adjoining bathroom was comfortable and clean, and the rest of the house was clean too. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks again for such a lovely week!
