Les Sonatines BnB

The rooms were comfortable and wonderfully quiet, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Breakfast was a treat, especially the delicious homemade jams. The welcome was relaxed, and the setting idyllic.

After I let them know I was running late, I got sharply scolded over the phone. The host had expected me earlier and had made himself available, even though he was probably very busy. I’d been polite enough to give notice, so I felt humiliated. I was so worried about getting another earful when I arrived that I found another guest room instead, with owners who were kind and welcoming. Good communication matters in business. You can be annoyed, but scolding customers like children? No, thank you.

The Seye River was flowing nearby, and the birdsong made such a soothing backdrop. It’s a calm, peaceful place, and Jean-Christophe and Martine gave us a warm welcome. The room was comfortable, and breakfast came with delicious homemade jams. It can be a little tough to drive at night when you’re a bit tired, so don’t hesitate to book a meal with them. A very good guesthouse, I’d definitely come back.

The rooms are beautifully decorated to suit the building, and the place itself is lovely and peaceful. Breakfast had a selection of homemade jams, and the meals were excellent. Highly recommended.
