Les Tuileries du Buisson

We had a really lovely one-night stay and got a warm welcome. We were travelling with our cat, who was made very welcome too. Breakfast was nice, with great views. Definitely worth a visit!

The owner welcomed us with so much kindness and was very helpful. The property is beautiful, and breakfast was truly delicious, made with fresh ingredients. The manor house has loads of charm and feels like stepping back in time. The rooms suit the character of the building, though they aren’t very modern. The layouts can be unusual, especially in the bathrooms, and soundproofing is poor.

It’s a pity, because the setting and region are truly lovely. We came as a family for one night, but the house wasn’t heated despite the cold, damp weather in mid-October. Claude, the caretaker, quickly found portable heaters for us. Breakfast was extremely basic, with supermarket items and no local products, which was a shame. There wasn’t a welcoming common area either, and one bedroom’s bed creaked at the slightest movement, making for a difficult night.

The owners are easy to reach and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. There’s a heated pool too. The manor and grounds have a calm, hushed comfort, with century-old sequoias, and the decor is just right, refined without overdoing it. A gem to treasure and recommend only to your very best friends!
