Le Moulin Garnier

We stayed with family in the Chambord room, with a double bed and two singles, and had a lovely time. The welcome was warm and friendly. The room was spotless, though the decor felt a little kitschy. The garden was well kept, there was a pool, and parking was on the property.

The breakfast was generous and excellent, and everything felt clean and practical. Our room was cozy, with comfortable bedding, and the welcome was genuinely warm. There’s parking on-site and another car park about 100 meters away. We’d happily come back.

We spent two lovely nights here. It has the feel of a little island, with a charming setting where you might see ducks, watch the mill wheel turning, hear the water, or unwind on a poolside lounger. The owner was welcoming, efficient, responsive, and available without hovering. Our attic room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was generous, indoors or out on the terrace, and the homemade jams were great.

A lovely green garden and a pool, though the water was really cold. The rooms and furnishings are old-fashioned, but they suit this beautiful old mill beside two fast-flowing streams. The owner is a sweet elderly lady. Recommended.
