The building has a beautiful old French style, and the entrance is very neat. The rooms, though, are pretty poor and need renovation: ours was small, with a small bed and bathroom, an old toilet with parts missing from the wall, and old painted windows. It’s a very basic hotel, which is why I rate it two stars. The staff were friendly, it was clean, and the location is perfect for Versailles, so it works for a few nights exploring the city. It was one of the cheapest nearby hotels, so we knew what to expect. We ate breakfast elsewhere because, to me, the price was a bit much for what you get: just some croissants and baguette with jam and coffee.

My company booked this hotel for me, and I wouldn’t choose to come back on my own. The place is small, with tight corridors. It was clean, and reception was okay, but people were noisy at night. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee was very weak. The TV is small and has only a few channels.

The room was clean and faced the road where we parked. Free street parking right outside in August was a real bonus. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Palace, with a great choice of restaurants nearby. The hotel’s a little tired and could use some updates, but we were happy with what we paid. Staff were polite and helpful, and there were lots of information booklets and maps. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Versaille.

The room gets so hot without A/C, and the windows have no mosquito nets, so you either bake inside or end up as mosquito bait. There’s only one accessible electrical outlet, tucked behind the shelf near floor level. We also heard noise from other rooms, and the place wasn’t very clean. Breakfast was just okay. This hotel has seen better days, and I definitely won’t be back.

The room wasn’t large, but the bath had a strong flow of water, and a hot soak after a busy day was really comfortable. Some hotels barely have enough hot water, but that wasn’t a problem here. The hotel is also not far from Versailles.
