The tour and tasting were lovely, with a walk through beautiful scenery and delicious wine. I only wish we’d bought more. We’d recommend it, though Google Maps made it a little tricky to find on foot. We’d misread our booking or got lost and arrived 45 minutes late. David was very accommodating, let us join the next tour and kindly gave us wine while we waited.

I’m here to review the wine, not the vineyard guesthouse, though they do have guesthouses available. The family have owned it for 20 years. Beatrice and her son David run the vineyard themselves, working hard at 100% organic farming to produce quality wine. The vineyard has 20 hectares, plus 10 of olive trees, and 65 hectares in total including scrub and bushes. Sancho helps too, though he’s only three, very strong, and likes to play.

David, the owner and vigneron, gave our group of 17 women a wonderful vineyard tour and tasting during our hen do in France. He took such good care of us, and even drove us back to Sommieres village in his pickup.

The owner clearly loves what he does, and that passion really comes through when he talks about the wine. We enjoyed the wine itself, and were lucky enough to get a tour too. Learning about the winemaking process was really interesting. What a great find, I’d definitely recommend visiting this winery.
