The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, so the basics were covered. Check-in went smoothly and the view was okay, but the room felt smaller than I’d expect from a Mercure. It’s a pretty basic stay, and honestly I’d probably look at other hotels next time. And please get proper hair dryers. Those wall-mounted ones are useless, no need to defend them.
We’d book here again. Our room, number 411 on the top floor, was roomier than expected, and the Château was visible to our right, lit up at night. The receptionist was possibly the friendliest, most helpful and professional person we’ve met at a hotel. There are Asian and pizza restaurants nearby, along with a good Monoprix and Nicholas. We left the car for free at the swimming pool car park for two days, about a 10-minute walk away, though it’s locked overnight.
The staff were so kind and helpful, and our requested top floor room even had a distant view of the Château. It’s a safe area, an easy stroll to the chateau, and we found free parking nearby since our car was too long for the hotel parking. One small issue, the bathroom’s sliding door doesn’t move well or close all the way, and I doubt it’ll last very long.
The area is really quiet, with plenty of bars and restaurants close by, and it’s a great spot for visiting Versailles. Our room was clean and cosy, and the service was great. Breakfast was very good too. The shower stream was a little weak, but fine.
The location made it easy to get around, and the staff were friendly. I liked the hotel’s atmosphere and found the rooms very clean. I didn’t have any complaints, and the city was lovely too.
