A fantastic house for a getaway with family or friends. In this weather, though, air conditioning would have been a nice extra.

We’re hoping to come back soon after such a lovely family weekend. The owner made us feel very welcome, and the villa was beautiful and had all the comforts we needed.

The Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire visit was a highlight for us. The cottage itself worked really well for our big family: the kitchen was functional, the dining room fit all 18 of us easily, and the spacious south-facing living room got loads of sun. We had a wonderful weekend and made good use of the games room, sauna, and spa.

The bakery is within walking distance and the shop is close by. It’s a very large, beautiful house, and the owners are really friendly. If you call them, they’ll come by. Air conditioning in the bedrooms would’ve been an added comfort, especially in a climate like this.

The breakfast was great, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of the Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire. The couple running the place took really good care of us. It’s also well placed for visiting several châteaux, with Blois and Amboise nearby. I’d booked a hot air balloon flight leaving at 5:45 a.m., and they’d thoughtfully left coffee, madeleines, and fruit ready in the kitchen. We really appreciated that and had a very pleasant stay.
